Stupak never let go of his dream and tried once again to build a hotel and casino. This time it was to be Titanic themed it would be 15 stories high. The project would’ve cost over $300 million and is therefore rejected by the city of Las Vegas.Stupak continued to strive for his dreams all the way to his final days.

Among Stupak’s crazy ideas were slapping a TV reporter in 1987 as he loses the race for mayor, betting $1 million on a Super Bowl game and winning, and many other antics such as challenging Donald Trump to boardgame but Stupak himself created.

Even with this antics, the thing that he is best known for his producing his dream casino, that has now become an icon for Las Vegas. The stratosphere Tower was Stupak’s creation and now has become one of them most recognizable hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas strip. The tower stands 1149 feet tall and offers excitement both in the casinos and at the top of the tower with a stratosphere roller coaster sits.

According to a history professor Michael Green, “The best way to describe him is as a 20th century version of P.T. Barnum,” he continued by saying “He was a visionary, and what he envisioned, he achieved.” Stupak was familiar with casino gambling and have been a participant of it throughout his entire life.
