Gambling regulator, Randall Sayre takes top award.

According to recent reports, the international Masters of gaming law have named a gaming regulator of the year and placed the award in the hands of gaming control Board member, Randall Sayre. This award goes out to Sayre because of his dedication to the service and industry of gambling. According to President
Robert Stocker II, Sayre “exemplifies the best possible
characteristics of a regulator”. This type of board is a standout award as it is being recognized by the international Masters of gambling law. The IMGL is a nonprofit group made up of gaming lawyers, regulators, educators, executives and consultants from across the globe with the full intention of expanding the knowledge base and educating people as well as providing professional information. There are over 200 members in the IMGL to have a say in the deciding of the gaming award.
The president went on to say, “Mr. Sayre has an outstanding record of helping to create a stable regulatory environment in Nevada. He has been called relentless by his peers and understands the myriad problems faced by licensees.” Sayre is no newbie to the gambling business as he has spent 26 years with the Nevada gaming control Board in a variety of positions including many supervisor positions. His addition to the board helped create some stability as well as bring in a new perspective on all matters dealing with gambling.
This gambling award is presented each year to the person that possesses the qualities that propel the gambling business forward. By shedding a clean light on a business that has a negative stigma, they can continue to push forward in promoting gambling in a positive way. Sayre accepted his award on November 17 in Las Vegas at the global gaming Expo. Gaming attorney, Robert Faiss stated “Sayre believes in regulation only when necessary. His methods have strictly regulated gaming, but also protected and assisted in meaningful ways.” Although he appears to be a strict gambling regulator, it is that type of work that keeps the business clean.
