Long time Chief Executive Officer for the digital entertainment company, Slingo, Inc., Sal Falciglia Sr., has chosen to step aside and let someone new run the company he founded. His replacement is Rich Roberts. “After 16 years as the CEO of Slingo, Inc., I am happy to pass the torch to Rich,” said Mr. Falciglia, “And I am excited to have someone with his experience and talents to lead the company in its next stage of growth.”
The new chief executive officer starts his new post with Slingo Inc. with close to twenty years of experience in development and distribution in the branded entertainment industry, an industry that plays heavily in the online casino and gaming world. “His knowledge and expertise in high-quality digital branded entertainment will allow him to create and execute a strategic vision that supports all of our platforms and cross-media endeavors,” commented Slingo’s general manager, Eric Lamendola. He added that Roberts was the “perfect addition” to their team.
Rich Roberts has spent most of his time in the casual games arena at PlayFirst, where he was the Vice President of Business Development. He was able to grow the company by introducing new ideas like the integration of social media. He was also able to bring known gaming platforms like Atari and Hasboro Games back into the main stream. Digital entertainment companies like Slingo play a vital role in the online gaming and casino industry. They may have seen one of its founders step aside, but the addition of Rich Roberts will cause no stop in production.
