In 1995, the American Gaming Association opened its doors, and now it is getting on board with the movement that is sweeping across the nation to bring online casino gambling to the Unites States. Of course there have been many legislative attempts ot make this all happen, and subsequently they have all been shot down.
There have been differing views concerning online casino gambling coming from many groups, not just the politicians. In fact, there is even some discrepancies within the gambling world about whether or not the online versions of gambling will be a beneficial thing. Within the United States, gambling provides a great deal of revenue to the state of Nevada and the tourism industry as a whole. If you replace that with online casino gambling, then two major networks will eventually collapse.
With reasons like this, the American Gaming Association has not been 100% on board with online gambling until now. Now that they are on board, there is still concern of whether or not online gambling will replace land based casinos. As we cannot be sure of that answer, it is best to continue to move forward. As the internet continues to grow it begs the question of “Is this the right forum for gambling?” Furthermore, people may claim that online gambling will kill off land based casinos, but the real worry is will land based casinos die regardless?
These and other questions are what the gambling association will field in the next few months and years.They will also be in charge of keeping up with the fast paces of technology and how they effect online gambling both through Fraud and online transactions. In order to get behind this new technology, they need to feel safe knowing that the customers are going to be provided with a safe venue for entertainment.
