Ooh, spooky… Devil’s Night is best known for its tradition of massive arson in inner-city Detroit, but online casinos are now trying to associate it with fun slot tournaments. I’ve always associated it with a last second scramble to figure out what costume I’m going to wear on Halloween, but that’s just because I am a procrastinator.
Online Vegas casino is holding two Halloween slot tournaments on Devil’s Night. The first is a freeroll tournament called Fearfully Fun Fright Night. There is no entry fee for the tournament and it runs for only two hours on October 30, from 10:00 PM to midnight. The tournament has a $2,666 prize pool and is played on the slot game Black Magic, a game based on witches, toil and trouble. Each player starts with 100 credits and the tournament has a rebuy of $1.99.
The second Halloween slot tournament hosted by Online Vegas is Halloween Weekend Madness, which runs from October 30 to November 3. In keeping with the whole sign of the devil theme, there is a guaranteed prize pool of $66,666. The entry fee and rebuy for the tournament is $13.13, an unlucky number for some, though you will consider it lucky if you take home any prizes in this tournament. The weekend tournament will be played on the slot game Monster Money, a game based on the tale of Dr. Frankenstein and his monster.
It seems that people who want to spend their Devil’s Night in an online tournament have to make a decision. You can play at either Golden Casino or Online Vegas. Of course, as we get closer to the holiday I’m sure more Halloween-themed tournaments will pop up. And, of course, if you live in Detroit you probably shouldn’t spend Devil’s Night in front of the computer playing online slots anyway. In that case, I would recommend standing at the door of your house holding a fire extinguisher, ready to put out any fires started at your home or neighboring homes. That’s what I would do, anyway.
